The sun and nature comprise the scenario of this video showing the harvest organized by the Fraternity – International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF), for the sheltered people of Pintolândia in the Roraima Mission. This video’s main protagonist is the Buriti – the sacred tree of the Warao people – which supplies them with both food and fibers used by the artisans in their creative work.
The harvest was held on September 30th. Acting as supporting participants are the legs and arms, shoulders and hands of the indigenous people and the missionariesof the Fraternity – Humanitarian (FFHI), united in this very special task of celebrating and honoring the Buriti tree – Ojidu – as it is called by the Warao people.
