In previous times, the Venezuelan Pedro had a peaceful life in his country together with his family. With the crisis, the difficulties worsened, and, when he was diagnosed with cancer, he had to leave, seeking treatment for the disease. He came by himself to Brazil, bringing only hope with him.
He was lovingly welcomed by the Fraternity–International Humanitarian Federation (FIFH), in the Tancredo Neves Shelter, in Pacaraima, which referred him for treatment.
In spite of some physical limitations brought about by the disease, he is confident that better days will come and shares a wish: to bring his family here to Brazil and together, begin a new journey.
