“We are all writers. It just happens that some write, and others don’t.”

Ana Regina Nogueira, during many years, wrote with the light. She lived and photographed (from the Greek phosgraphein, which means “to engrave or write with light”) in large cities – and also in small communities. She had exhibits in prestigious galleries around the world. In 1993, she moved to Lavras, MG, Brazil, to be closer to José Trigueirinho Netto and the philosophical and spiritual work carried out by him.

In the early 2000’s, Ana Regina began her activity at Irdin Editora, producing book covers, typesetting, doing “whatever was necessary,” tells the writer. In 2003, Trigueirinho asked her to write her first book: Viver o Amor aos Cães (To Live Love for Dogs, not translated into English yet). Since that time, she has written Por que ninguém me disse isso antes? (Why Did No One Tell Me This Before?, not translated into English yet), Ensolarar Vidas (Sunbathing Lives, not translated into English yet) e Fraternity International Humanitarian Missions: True stories about selfless service in a troubled world, all of them published by Irdin Editora, affiliated with the Fraternity-International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF).

On World Writers Day, October 13, the Fraternity–International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF) pays its homage to this great artist, writer and photographer who lends her vision and her words “to the transformation and to the dream of reaching hearts that thirst for change and for living love in its full state,” as she reported in an interview to the Fraternity (FIHF) website.

In this lecture given (in Portuguese) by Ana Regina Nogueira during the Festival Literário do Instituto Federal – Pouso Alegre (FLIF) (Literary Festival of the Federal Institute – Pouso Alegre (FLIF), Brazil, the writer talks about her career, her meeting with Trigueirinho, and her constant search for the truth.
