On June 15, 16 and 17, 2018, the city of Batatais, SP, hosted another joyful regional meeting of the Network-of-Light, giving continuity to a task of strengthening and expansion of the networks of service in the cities of the hinterlands of Sao Paulo.
Uniting collaborators of Batatais, Sao Carlos and Ribeirao Preto, and led by the nuns of the Monastery of the Transfiguration, the meeting had an intense schedule with the Francis of Assisi Nucleus of Service, which for 29 years has been working in the city, supporting needy children and offering assistance services to children and adults.
Following the fundamental foundations of the work of the Network-of-Light, the practice brought moments of prayer, instruction, service and healing, allowing the participants to have a special deepening in external treatments, permeated by Christic energy, shared during the Sacred Call. At the end of Saturday (June 16), a space was opened for reception and prayer with the Pilgrims of Mary, and, on Sunday, the morning was dedicated to the work for the children of the vicinity, uniting music, art and joy in service.
The Francis of Assisi Nucleus develops a weekly rhythm, and every Tuesday offers therapeutic attendance and rehearsals of the Choir of Batatais. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, there are meetings of the Network-of-Light and on Sundays the meetings with the children take place.
All these activities have received a special impulse with the meeting, which was synthesized with a lot of joy through the words of Claudia Zanetti, the coordinator of the Francis of Assisi Nucleus: “Renewal is the word I would use to define the coming of the Monastery of the Transfiguration to the Francis of Assisi Nucleus. Our vows of serving the Plans of God are renewed, all the energy of the place is renewed and the proposal of all works developed goes through a great renewal. We only have but to thank for so many blessings received”.
