The Campaign for Peace in Latin America and Europe in the second half of 2016 began by Argentina. Hundreds of pilgrims from various regions of the country have followed the events that until this moment occurred in two Argentine cities.
Buenos Aires was the first city to receive the event of the Campaign in the second half of this year, the 35th Marathon of the Divine Mercy, which occurred on June 5 and 6. The location chosen for the Marathon was totally crowded with pilgrims arriving since early morning. Four hundred people participated, many of them members of the groups of prayers of the Argentina´s Network-of-Light, coming almost from all the provinces as, Mendoza, Chaco, Córdoba, Corrientes, Misiones, Posadas and Viedma. 
The Marathon of the Divine Mercy consists in prayer, every day, 1,500 beads of the Chaplet of The Divine Mercy, an activity that is completed in approximately six hours of continuos prayer. The works aims to invoke the Divine Mercy to the whole world, thus promoting peace in these times of crisis.
With the ending of the Marathon of the Divine Mercy, a large part of the pilgrims who were in Buenos Aires followed for the city of Santa Fe, capital of the province of the same name, where participated in the Prayer Vigil and the Apparition of the Virgen Mary, occurred on days 12 and 13, respectively. Near 200 people were in the gatherings, many of them participated for the first time.
The next event of the Campaign for Peace in Argentina will be in the ‘Meetings with Saint Joseph‘ on June 19, in the Marian Center of the Holy Spirit, in Capilla del Monte, Cordoba. The encounter will be transmitted by the web www.misericordiamariatv.org
In the months of June and July 2016 Argentina, Uruguay, Spain and Portugal, will participate of the Campaign for Peace – international ecumenical movement which promotes the power of prayer and of the music for the construction of a culture of peace and fraternity. These meetings have already happened in different cities of countries such as Uruguay, Brazil, Venezuela and Colombia.
