On the 25th and 26th of March, the Network-of-Light of Uruguay will conduct a journey of service in the “Refuge of Dogs Mucho Bicho”, located in Tacuarembó, Center-North of Uruguay. The place functions by means of volunteers and shelters about 200 dogs.

The main activity of this journey of service will be the cleaning of the place, with the cutting of weeds, cleaning of the kennels and of the containers where the food is stored. Also the feeding to the animals will be done.

Twelve people including adults and teenagers from different departments of Uruguay will participate: from Canelones, Ciudad de la Costa and Costa de Oro, Rocha, Tacuarembó and LaValleja. Also will participate other members of the Network-of-Light of the region of Florida, Paysandú, besides the daughters of Mary.

“The collaborations of the volunteers of the shelter are sporadic and the situation is quite precarious concerning the state of the shelters of the animals and hygiene. The place has only two taps of drinking water and does not have electric power”, explained Letícia Cardama, the coordinator of the Network-of-Light of Uruguay.

The activity complies with a request of Mary made in an Apparition of December 13, 2015, where She presents her 33 aspirations for Uruguay, such as the fraternity with organizations for the care and protection of the Animal Kingdom and the expansion of the importance in the care and protection to the animals.

The intention of the group is to repeat the activity in the refuge for the dogs every two or three months. “In the upcoming visits, we aspire to include the task of workshops about the responsible guardianship of dogs and to contribute with other needs of the refuge, such as the channeling of water and repairs in the shelters of dogs”, said Letícia.
