The Network-of-Light group of Brasilia, Federal District, Brazil, promoted from September 22 thru 24 the “Bazaar of Peace”, with the objectives of raising funds for the campaigns and associations of service affiliated with the Fraternidade – International Humanitarian Federation, and also of helping an animal protector.

Planalto Village

The bazaars have taken place since 2015, four or five times a year, and are held in Planalto Village, a region created in 1957, at that time a campsite, to receive workers during the building of the city of Brasilia.

With the conduction of the bazaars, the Network-of-Light group of Brasilia, currently with ten members, helps the Campaign for Peace, the Community-of-Light of the New Earth, the Kennel of the Francis of Assisi Park, in the city of Lavras, and a protector who retrieves cats and dogs from the streets. The animals are received, castrated, treated and referred for adoption.

The bazar held in September, the second of 2017, had moments of prayer, communitarian lunch, and donations for needy families of the district. During the event, there was also the dissemination of the work of the Fraternidade and its affiliates, including the messages of the Divine Messengers.

The dissemination of the bazar was done with banners and pamphlets, distributed around the community. But the event attracts many participants due to the popularity of Mrs. Lucia, one of the oldest residents in the place and widely known for having been married with the cook of the ex-Brazilian President Juscelino Kubitschek. She offers her house for the event, and, with the help of some members of the group, prepares and serves lunch for the collaborators and for some people who are in the place and want to eat. Mrs. Lucia and her husband Mr. Rosental also cede a room to keep the donations (toys, books, domestic utensils, jewelry, CD’s, DVD’s and others) received in the time between one bazar and the next.

“The group gathers with a lot of joy in the heart. In the last event, two people asked to join the Network-of-Light”, says the coordinator of the Network-of-Light Helda Pinheiro.
