A group of collaborators of the Network-of-Light of Sao Paulo, Brazil, has begun a project of cooperation with tasks of welcome and assistance to the Animal Kingdom.

The service will be rendered monthly, in an alternate way, in two institutions affiliated with Fraternidade – International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF): the Community-of-Light New Earth and the Francis of Assisi Park, in the city of Lavras, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

The initiative of love for the Animal Kingdom includes the delivery of donations for the care of the animals and the referral of adoption of the dogs.

The proposal is being concretized by the group Antena de Luz (Light Dish), part of the Network-of-Light of Sao Paulo. It counts on the collaboration of the Association Natureza Em Forma (Nature in Shape) and the Association Ampara (Supports), dedicated to the rescue, care, and adoption of animals in a situation of risk and suffering.

New Earth

The first activity was conducted in the Community-of-Light New Earth, in the rural area of Teresopolis, state of Rio de Janeiro. The place shelters more than 600 animals of several species, among which there are about 250 dogs.

The group brought donations of medicines, animal feed, insecticide, anti-flea products, and vaccines. They also took four dogs from the place, to give them in adoption in the city of Sao Paulo.

“It was a task that shows that, when we are united in faith, we can accomplish anything, by means of group energy. We intend to maintain a rhythm of transportation of the animals from Community-of-Light New Earth and the Francis of Assisi Park of Lavras, as they are gradually adopted, so as to open space for others to be rescued”, commented Moyses Tinoco, the coordinator of the Group Antena de Luz.

“We are very happy to begin this action. For a long time, we have wanted to do it. I thank the effort of everyone to concretize this offering and for the fact that we can give an opportunity to these dogs to find a home that welcomes them with a lot of love”, highlighted the biologist Lito Fernandez, the founder of the center of adoption Natureza em Forma.
