Place: Cairo, Egypt
The contingent mission in poor neighborhoods around the Egyptian capital provided attendance to the neediest, in support to the work carried out by the Missionaries of Charity of Mother Teresa of Calcutta. In the biggest city of the Arabian world, the houses maintained by the Missionaries of Charity were the main focus of the efforts of the missionary group of Fraternidade, which, once again, worked in the cares both for the elderly and for babies, and also trying to attend any kind of necessity in the houses: days filled with untiring actions seeking to transform pain into beauty and harmony.
- Services of support in the home for the elderly gathered from the city streets, including nursing cares, feeding and recreational activities.
- Services in the crèche that welcomes children of families which work recycling garbage, with specific cares for the babies.
- Cleaning and maintenance works, and painting of facilities.
All Fraternidade activities are carried out without cost for those benefitted and exclusively sustained by donations.
