Poor children sheltered by a partner-institution called Brother Sun Sister Moon were present and so were children of the Chidren’s House, a project of the Nucleus-of-Light that develops different activities oriented to the infant public. Chidren and relatives of collaborators also participated in the activities.
The story-telling of “The Girl and the Enchanted Bird” started at 10 a.m. During the presentation, paper puppets of birds and music were used to accompany the exhibition of the story. The work is a fruit of the youth group of the Nucleus-of-Light composed of about ten members that gather on Saturdays for activities of prayer, service and study. The group was formed after a Meeting of Youths conducted in the Nucleus.
About a month ago, the youths started taking a course on story-telling with Andréia Sophia, a collaborator with professional experience in the art of telling stories. The presentation was the closure of the course and represented an offering of the group for the children to live an experience of integration in the Nucleus-of-Light.
Once concluded the presentation, the children participated in a workshop of making birds with paper and cardboard.
At the end, a snack was served to all. About 60 people attended the event, among youths, children and adults.
