livro_por_que_ana_regina_eg_setembro_2016_1“Por que Ninguém Me Disse Isso Antes” (“Why Didn’t Anybody Tell Me This Before”), a new book by Ana Regina Nogueira, was launched on September 8 by Irdin Editora during the 57th General Meeting of Figueira. With 160 pages, the second book by the authoress brings 20 chronicles about the Kingdoms of Nature.

The book started to be written in December 2015, when the authoress began the work with the stories, most of them personally told by different people from nine Brazillian states. They are tales that bring different realities and mysteries, both cosmic and of daily life.

The preface of the book was written by Trigueirinho. Read an excerpt:
“If the reader observes with neutrality the photographic images and the words that are so simple, who knows if they would hear some inner sound, inside their own being, a voice calling them to a mysterious experience in their own destiny. But the secret of all would be in unity, because the stories that are shown here, some intriguing, almost always seek to suggest that Good is not division. Texts and photos, thoughts and impulses harmonize lovingly and offer us a little panel that lead us to an approximation with peace”.

Ana Regina Nogueira is a photographer and one of the founders of the Francis of Assisi Park, located in the city of Lavras, Minas Gerais. The Park welcomes street animals in a state of abandonment or sick. Ana made her debut in literature in 2014 with the book “Viver o Amor aos Cães” (“Living the Love for the Dogs”), already in its second edition and also published by Irdin.

In a testimony during the General Meeting of Figueira, the authoress talks about how the book arose, as well as the stories and how they affect people.
