Spiritual path
“Spiritual path” is a term of wide use, which can denote the process of expansion of consciousness of human beings. It presents in a different way to each one, as it depends on the degree attained and on the aspects to be developed by the quester. What is spiritual to an individual may not be so to another; this is why generalizations are useless.
The spiritual path consists above all in the penetration of the consciousness in increasingly higher states, until the union with the Spirit is consummated, when a cosmic trajectory, beyond, begins. It is a path that must be entered without expectations, knowing beforehand only that it is about a progressive self-forgetting and overcoming one’s own limits. Few follow it indeed, but those who do it integrate themselves in increasingly encompassing and universal principles, and render thus a priceless help to the evolution, not only of those who surround them, but of all the living beings on the Earth.
The pure light
On the spiritual path the pure light is gradually revealed. It dissolves illusions, reaches the most recondite aspects of consciousness and brings the certainty of the direction to follow. This path is beyond intellectual knowledge, the sterile manipulation of concepts, and leads to wisdom. On it nothing is seen, heard, felt or touched for personal delight, but rather to allow the light of the spirit to come close, to involve and pervade the whole being, accomplishing its supernatural Work.
Especially in the initial phases of the path, the arising of non-positive aspects of character is inevitable, aspects until then unconscious and whose transformation consumes a large part of the potential available for the ascension; nevertheless, this transformation is facilitated when self-forgiveness and donation are established to a certain extent. Then the being begins to perceive the value of impersonal, silent and invisible action. In order to advance, daring fearlessness and courage is necessary as well as prudence, silence and receptivity to what comes from the depth of the being.
Rendition to the inner world
Anxiety to decide the direction to take must yield to rendition to the inner world. To deepen silence and to love the inner essence allows the person to recognize the steps they must take. When they unites with this inner side, with their soul, times of intense activity or of repose, of inner struggles or of fortune begin to have the same value.
In a certain sense, what distinguishes the person who dedicates themselves to the spiritual path from the common person is the way they relate with external life and with what is created by their mind and their emotions. While the common person identifies themselves, becomes touched and involved with the personal and external life, the one who follows the spiritual path “is in the world without being of the world, in Christ’s words the very experience of life gradually shows them the deep and loving sense of this expression of the Great Instructor.
Those who seek to tread the inner path
Those who seek to tread the inner path have to embrace a positive state of dissatisfaction that will not let them become stagnant in any point, no matter how good, so that they may always be willing to continue toward the goal. Thus, the path can be unveiled to them. They have to be always ready to die and to be born again. This readiness must penetrate their cells.
The pilgrim must silence the voice that cries out for what is known to them,
and they must make their heart serene and prepare themselves to hear the inaudible.
