For those who wish to be in vigil, it is fundamental for them to be devout, faithful, and for them not to let themselves be carried away by the ritualism of acts and exercises.

An attitude of surrender and of attention

Vigil may be considered a prayer, a state in which the individual remains in serene expectation, in an attitude of surrender and of attention to the depth of being, to the Source of Wisdom and Love. Notwithstanding the experience of some moments of disharmony and of other happy moments, Notwithstanding our formal activities of daily routine, we may be permanently open to the comprehension and to the understanding of all internal factors that influence life.

Vigil is that state in which not even a catastrophe surprises us. We participate in the events with absolute surrender, sometimes possibly being touched by them, but without letting our activity and the state of our feelings be altered. This does not mean indifference, but an alert state in the face of the unforeseen changes that the current times are bringing.

Vigil with joy

Vigil is only valid when it is conducted with joy; otherwise any effort will be vain. It must not become an obligation, but rather represent a real necessity of the individual. Periods of vigil are of intense force and they align the external consciousness with the soul.

In the first vigils, there is effort to quieten ourselves and there may also arise some crises, as the purity of being wants to install, and the ego, accustomed to denser states, sees in this purity a threat, and it stays in a void that it still does not understand. But, by persisting, the struggles cease. When anxiety for results fades, the doubts of the mind and the crises are dissolved, and serenity establishes itself.

Purposes of life and service to be rendered

In this quest for vigil, done with dedication and calm, the purposes of life and service to be rendered are unveiled. The fellow human beings are found in the very inner essence, and thus fraternal co-existence begins.

The more connected with the Inner Being, the more prepared we will be to build inner strength, thus facilitating calm, peace and serenity to all those who are undergoing moments of difficult of any nature.

Peace can be seen as a lighthouse in darkness

Peace can be seen as a lighthouse in darkness. Thus, all the effort made today will be fruitful tomorrow. Those who are willing to serve must know that in order for us to be bearers of peace, it is necessary, firstly, to become kings of harmony in our inner world. Thus, we will also be able to be harmonized with our material bodies, such as the physical, the emotional and the mental.

For those who wish to be in vigil, it is fundamental for them to be devout, faithful and not to let themselves be carried away by the ritualism of acts and exercises, without placing in this activity an authentic devotion and fervor in their offerings. Any act conducted in glory to God is to be imbued with joy, free from apathy of from pride.

Meek as a sheep in the fields

May the devout be meek as a sheep in the fields, praying deeply in the vigils for all those who do not have faith and for those who have not opened to the messages that come from the high spiritual levels. This prayer, as has been said, is a perfecting of one’s own state, reflecting in the whole humanity, which is one, and benefiting it.

Fraternal union beyond the frontiers of the ego

All are summoned for a fraternal union beyond the frontiers of the ego, without regrets. Millions need this, nevertheless, as is known, it is necessary for them to correct their steps first, to give their free and disinterested hand to those who come right after them and to know how to recognize the needy.

We must always keep in mind that “the road is long to some and short to others, who arrives first must know how to wait for those who are still on the way”.
