What is your path

According to universal knowledge, there are seven different methods that predispose us to contact with inner life, each one related to a certain temperament. Search among them (according to the description we will make here) what is your path of least resistance, and seek to follow it; do not insist on the process that you recognize as not being yours.

All of us will reach

The contact with inner life, as is known, takes place without the participation of human effort. This contact is a consequence of the development of the soul, which, on its own level of consciousness, glimpses higher realities. It is an inner experience, and all of us will reach it.

These seven methods, one for each ray, describe processes or attitudes that can be assumed in daily physical, emotional and mental life.  When these attitudes are integrated in our lives, we will be able to believe that we are predisposing to the relationship with inner life.

Seven methods, one for each ray

1st Ray – The method of least resistance for them is the application of will to the physical, emotional and mental vehicles in a dynamic manner. This means to keep the attention intensely focusing in the elevated intention. A concentration so deep must be cultivated, that it inhibits the impediments and forces a channel of communication with higher levels. When the aspiration is sincere and not selfish, the higher self responds positively.

2nd Ray – Here we train degrees of crescent inclusiveness. It is not an impulse, but rather the expansion of magnetic affinity and of elevated love. We will come to include the environment and the souls connected to the same group, or students associated to the same intention. This connection may be subjective, not visible, not social, although a social connection may also happen.

3rd Ray – The natural process is the systematic adaptation of all available knowledge and of all kinds of resources to the finality sought. It is about gathering all possible efforts to help the world, whether by means of the correct and opportune information, whether by means of matured love and discernment.

4th Ray – The adhesion to beauty and to harmony approaches these beings from inner life, until this adhesion is really lived, reaching the inner planes. The soul expresses its note in harmony with other souls. The individual leans to withdraw its attention to their inner levels, with the aim of better understanding life.

5th Ray – The arrival at inner life takes place through the concentration of the mind in some subject, with the aim of helping the human race or some other Kingdom of Nature. Also developed is the control of one’s own physical, emotional and mental bodies, by means of the use of the element of will, as we saw in the first ray.

6th Ray – Those of the sixth ray approach their own inner life through exclusive dedication, through love for someone or for an ideal. Through love, the devotional-idealistic person becomes inclusive, and, with all their forces, contemplates their higher goal. In the dedication to the person or to the ideal, they devote their whole personality, which, thus, aligns with the soul.

7th Ray – Here the path to inner life is found bringing the three external bodies (physical, emotional and mental) to the law, to order and to spontaneous discipline. The law is studied, and understood how and why it acts. By intelligently applying it to life, the conditions of humanity are improved in general, and the individual becomes a collaborator of human evolution.

Thus, whichever is the ray of the individual, whichever is their process of least resistance,
under all of them lies an immutable law: that of forgetting the ego
by means of service rendered with unconditional love.
