Secretários discutem temas sociais e humanitários em São Carlos (SP)

On February 16, members of the Light-Network of the city of Sao Carlos gathered with the Secretary of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation of the city, José Galizia Tundisi, the Secretary of the Environment of the city of Cordeiropolis, Joaquim Dutra Furtado Filho, and the Executive-Secretary of the Fraternidade-International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF), Leda Garcia.

With the objective of discussing social and humanitarian topics, the municipal secretaries touched on projects developed in their communities, while the Executive-Secretary Leda talked about the work of the Humanitarian Fraternidade (FIHF) carried out in Brazil and around the world, with an emphasis on service for the sheltering of Venezuelan refugees in Roraima.

The talk touched on emergency situations that threaten life in the different layers of society, such as deprivation of the use of water, food and the need for implementation of cooperative actions to rebuild dignity in these large population groups.

“With collective efforts, it is possible to work across borders to reintegrate peoples into altruistic and prosperous life”, states Leda Garcia.
