“A syntropic agriculture is regenerative.  When we are doing agriculture, we are maintaining a beautiful landscape, an expression of the mineral, vegetable and animal kingdoms. Syntropic agriculture provides for the evolution of all kingdoms, not just the cultivation of food for our sustenance. ”

The explanation is provided by Isaías Reis, an agroecological family farmer trained in Agroforestry by Embrapa, who recently taught the course “Dynamics of Natural Ecosystems and the Principles of Syntropic Agriculture” in the Community of Figueira, located in Carmo da Cachoeira, Minas Gerais (Brazil), and affiliated to the Fraternidade – International Humanitarian Federation.

The syntropic agriculture is a system that unites different crops, such as fruits and vegetables in the same area, still maintaining a large part of the local vegetation and, thus, collaborating to preserve the environment. In degraded areas, it ensures the recovery of the areas. Very important: the production of food is totally clean, free of pesticides
