In today’s video, we will hear Maryori’s story, a Venezuelan immigrant that lives in the Tancredo Neves Shelter, in Boa Vista, Roraima, managed by the Fraternity – International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF). Maryori crossed the border with her husband and brother-in-law, without any money, no tickets, just with a cloth bag and two liters of water.

Since she was 8 years old, she has been treated for rheumatoid arthritis and she no longer had access to the medication in Venezuela. In the Shelter, she discovered she had leprosy, and thanks to the care and attention of the missionaries, she has free access to all the medications and the treatment she needs. “I am very grateful to all the people that have helped us here,” she emphasizes.
