On the last weekend of April, the group of the Network-of-Light of Brasilia, Federal District, Brazil, filliated to the Fraternidade – International Humanitarian Federation, conducted a bazaar to help the Animal Kingdom. The amount raised will be used to meet the needs of about 40 animals removed from the streets.

reino_animal_df_1The selfless service rendered to the Animal Kingdom es conducted by sister Shakty in her own home, adapted to receive abandoned dogs and cats who are taken from the streets, many of them with serious illnesses. In her house, she created the ‘temporary home Saint Clare of Assisi’. When the animals are hosted, they receive all the necessary cares: they are vaccinated, castrated, receive vermifuge and when they become healthy, are offered for adoption. Those with serious illnesses most of the times are not adopted and remain receiving cares in a compassionate way.

The expenses with animal feed, medicines, veterinarian consultation, domestic helper, maintenance of the jails and kennel amount to nearly US$ 2,000.00 , exceeding her domestic budget.
