On January 14, the Network-of-Light group of Argentina visited Los Gurices Refectory, located in São Francisco Solano, province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Some members of the group and of the refectory itself represented the figure of the three Magi. A great quantity of toys was distributed to children of various ages.
The day of the Network-of-Light in Los Gurices Refectory began with the fixing of a fraternal lunch, with the participation of the collaborators. After the meal, members of the Network-of-Light and youths that attend the refectory represented the figure of the three Magi and distributed the toys. Youths that attend the refectory, children from the region, mothers and neighbors were present.
Then the group conducted tasks of maintenance of the refectory. This time, the work was the painting of the doors and windows of the refectory. The children participated in the task with a lot of joy and dedication.
Monthly visits
The Network-of-Light group, also composed by the Choir group of Buenos Aires, has been conducting continuous monthly tasks in Los Gurices refectory since October 2016. Tasks of repairing and harmonization of the place, music and chant with the children, fraternal breakfasts and lunches with food donated by the Network-of-Light and bakeries, donations of footwear, food and clothes have taken place.
“During the dynamics of integration through music, we feel the joy that the children and parents express”, said Juan José Callá, a member of the Network-of-Light of Argentina.
