The Community of Figueira offersfrom November 19 through 22 in the area Lands of the Fraternity, close to the town of Carmo da Cachoeira, Minas Gerais, Brazil, the Meeting with the Trees.the Event is organized the Group of the Trees of Figueira.
The Group of Support to the Plant Kingdom and big trees exists since the foundation of Figueira and fulfils activities such as treatments, application of Hidroasphalt, removal of dry branches, removal of plagues, termites and lianas.
During the meeting minor-risk tasks and those that demand a greater number of people are done, such as harmonization and cleaning of areas and some treatments.the days of contact close to the trees and local vegetation enable people to have more fondness for this kingdom. “We work with the group so that all may realize the cares that the plant needs. People leave touched by the meeting and start seeing the plant kingdom in a different way”, says Ricardo Baumgartner, coordinator of the Group of the Trees.
Some numbers:
In the entire Figueira there are eighteen Guardian trees, those that have a special importance in the balance and harmony of the area in which they are located. Some trees are present in great amounts in some areas, as is the case of the Eucalyptus. Only in F2 there are more than one thousand.
