The Group of Missionaries of Peace of the Fraternidade – International Humanitarian Federation will work with the Syrian refugees that are outside the refugee camps and scattered throughout the Turkish territory. The new planning of the Mission takes place after the Turkish government did not allow the group to enter the refugee camps.
Returning Embassy
After the refusal of the Turkish government to permit the entry of the group into the refugee camps of that country, it was decided that the humanitarian mission will be performed with the refugees who are outside the camps and scattered throughout the country.
The idea came from the Brazilian embassy in Turkey, which, after contact with the United Nations, instructed the group to get in touch with the NGO – Non-Governmental Organization ASAM – Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants. ASAM has offices and facilities that attend the Syrian refugees in 45 places in Turkey.
It was defined that the Group of Missionaries of Peace will traverse Turkey in a micro bus, visiting the facilities of the NGO that shelters the refugees.
