‘The House will be a pole of service for those who work in the rescue of the souls who live on the streets. Besides the street dwellers of the town itself, many people coming from other places, sometimes far-away places, pass also, and need help, especially of a spiritual nature’, said Mirnuk, the Institutional Manager of the Fraternidade.

For this, they will have access to basic hygiene, such as shower, haircut and nail-trimming, tooth-brushing and clean clothes. The House will also offer daily lunch.

The place, ceded by the Municipality of Carmo da Cachoeira, has a good planting area, where works of vegetable garden and garden in general will be promoted to help the contact of these people with the Kingdoms of Nature.

In the inauguration, besides the people directly involved with the activities of the House, were also present representatives of the Fraternidade and authorities of the town of Carmo da Cachoeira.

‘I deeply thank for this opportunity of having here in Carmo da Cachoeira a place to assist those who fall into addictions and end up on the streets. Without help, by themself, no addicted has the strength to get back on their feet again’, said Sandra, a representative of the Alcoholics Anonymous (AA).
