Since it began with its humanitarian aid for the Venezuelan refugees in 2016, educating has always been one of the pillars in the operations of Fraternidade – International Humanitarian Federation in the five shelters that it administers in Roraima. During that period, approximately 3,000 children, young people and adolescents have already gone through one or more of the programs it develops in the State.

There are projects still aimed at the adult population and directed toward teachers, who need new knowledge to deal with the situations generated by the shelter, such as that of Emergency Training, or of Trauma as it is also known; a method developed so that emotionally shaken children can recover their trust in themselves and in the people around them.

Beyond the fact that education is basic for the development of any human being, Fraternidade understands that the educational experience strengthens the capacity to overcome and the resilience of the children and adolescents, who have had to leave family, friends, and the comfort of their homes to face the challenges that are part of the condition of the shelter and those of beginning their lives again in a foreign country.
