The Community-of-Light of Nova Terra, located in the region of Teresópolis, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, received on last May 20 and 21 twenty manumitted (freed) horses from the Island of Paquetá.
The horses used to drag carriages of the Island of Paquetá, Rio de Janeiro, in tours. Some animals suffered ill-treatments and all of them were replaced by electric carts.
When the horses arrived in the Community-of-Light of Nova Terra, they were freed and could know their new home, where they will receive all the cares and will have plenty of space to live.
