Missão Chaco

Members of the Light-Network of Argentina and Brazil, the Youths for Peace, and other collaborators participated in the 13th Meeting with the natives of the Qon tribe in the city of Resistencia, Chaco, Argentina.

The coordinator of the Northern Light-Network and Missions of the North of Argentina, Marcos Renaudo, was in charge of organizing this meeting, which was held from February 22 to 25.

According to the organizing team, the participants desired a better connection with people of the communities, so as to strengthen the link between them and the Fraternidade – International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF).

The participants of the meeting made home visits to the elderly of the community and delivered donations. They also contributed in the service tasks in the garden of the elderly and in the community garden.

Missionary Training

Besides contact with the community during the meeting, the two first segments of Missionary Training were developed, coordinated by a core missionary, Ricardo Baumgartner.

There was a moment of crucial focus with the adolescents, in the community of Puerto Tirol, keeping in mind that they generally do not participate. In this meeting they participated actively in the endeavors.

For Viviana Walsh, of the group Youths for Peace, the “Chaco Mission always awakens the joy of the soul, both in those who participate and those who receive.”
