The Fraternity – International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF), released last Wednesday 14 the documentary Nona Anonamo – We Are All Artisans, a homage to all the refugees of the world.

Nona Anonamo tells the story of the indigenous Warao people (Water People) and their deep relationship with the Buriti tree, its material and spiritual importance.

Through the handicrafts of the Warao women, they find the means for survival and a re-affirmation of their identity.

Young girls and youths observe their mothers and grandmothers while they weave the Buriti fibers. It is in this community activity that they will be able to keep alive the ancestral memory of their people.
