To close this chapter, let us listen to what our instructor Trigueirinho has yet to clarify us about the themes of the epidemics and of the negative feelings, such as fear, hatred and resentment.

The transmuting, purifying and harmonizing power of the copaiba oil

A long time before the first European settlers arrived in the South-American continent, native groups of several Tupi-Guarani ethnic groups already related in a very special way with a noble tree called Copaiba, typical of an extensive South-American region, which included the Amazonian region, the Center-West, the East and the South of Brazil, extending to the Paraná River Basin. Among their customs and religious principles, there was a sacred ritual of purification in which they used the abundant and odoriferous sap, the balm or copaiba oil, extracted from its reddish trunk.

The wounded warriors

The wounded warriors, when they returned from fights, were led to a wide and sunny square, in which their bodies were then anointed, entirely, with this strong balm. Then they were placed on a mezzanine, at a certain height from the ground, placed over a fire where copaiba wood was burning. Its slow and flameless burn liberated a vivid smoke and radiated heat, energy emanations that involved the bodies of the wounded. Chants, rhythms, mantric sounds, ritualistic dances, percussion instruments accompanied the whole ritual.

The intention of the pajé religious-ritualistic-healing chief of these groups and guide of their sacred ceremonies, was that of liberating the warriors from the negative and destructive vibrations that emerge from the bellicose and lethal confrontations, deeply impregnate the bodies of those affected and from there began to negatively interfere in the whole organism or in the whole being.

At the end of this treatment, magic and effective

At the end of this treatment, magic and effective for those open consciousnesses, those wounded were taken to receive more specific procedures for each one, with natural resources that the pajé knew and dealt well with: several vegetable extracts, poultice, baths in the rivers, lagoons and rapids, and showers in waterfalls; specific foods, such as fruits, seeds, roots and powders; sun and repose, among so many others.

Behind this entire ritual, lies a deep wisdom

Behind this entire ritual, somewhat strange and unknown to us today, lies a deep wisdom proper of the state of consciousness of the native indigenous peoples, which has been lost throughout the sickly and compelling co-existence with the rude and perverted settlers.

The pajés, religious-healing medicine men, knew that the dense psychic atmosphere, pervaded with aggressiveness, fear, hatred and violence, typical of wars, also affected the warriors, who got impregnated by them, especially those wounded. Today it is known that these dense and negative vibrations, when they penetrate the body, disorganize the energy processes and also the physiological, nervous and hormonal processes, debilitating the immunological system, guardian of the integrity of the being, of its physiological, energetic and subtle balance.

Thus the creations are created that facilitate the penetration of opportunistic germs in the physical body and their propagation, causing imbalance and infections. The therapeutic resources currently available have a more incisive action, eliminate more rapidly the infection, but do not reorganize the energetic imbalance that opened the doors for its manifestation.

The sharp consciousness, recognized
the primary energetic cause of diseases and imbalances

The sharp consciousness, simple and devoid of rational and material resources, typical of the true guides of the native peoples, recognized the primary energetic cause of diseases and imbalances, and acted in conformity with it. The pajés then used the natural resources available, which they knew very well, a result of a “direct knowledge” acquired throughout a deep and reverent relationship they kept with the Creation and the Kingdoms of Nature. Thus, they could act in depth, in a coherent, efficient, simple and preventive manner.

The healing power of the balm or oil of copaiba

So they already knew the healing power of the balm or oil of copaiba, capable of fostering the deep purification of the bodies, essential for a wider and really effective healing. They already recognized its multiple and precious medicinal qualities and its disinfectant and cicatrizing properties.

All this many centuries before Phitotherapy today begins to awaken to this precious gift of Creation, the copaíba, and its wide transmuting, harmonizing and healing power, to recognize what the pure, sensitive and penetrating consciousness of the native peoples already knew in depth. And perhaps this limited rational and material vision does not even accept, in silence and reverence, this “direct wisdom”, occultly imbued in this simple and innocent tale, an original purity that we have lost a long time ago.

There is something essential and urgent
to recover from this Native Indigenous Consciousness!
