Giving continuity to the support offered to the indigenous communities of the Argentine northeast, the Network-of-Light of Chaco organized the 6th Meeting of the Chaco Permanent Mission. It was conducted from February 25 to 27 with native populations close to Resistencia, capital of the province of Chaco, Argentina.

With the participation of 31 collaborators from Network-of-Light groups from various provinces (Chaco, Corrientes, Misiones, Córdoba, Mendoza), other volunteers, and the monastics of the Grace Mercy Order, the Mission assisted the Indigenous people of the Qom ethnic group, located in the Mapic neighborhood, in the city of Resistencia, and in the locality of Margarita Belén, 22 kilometers from the capital of Chaco.

The activity began on Saturday 25, with an opening meeting at the place of lodging of the participants, the Home of spiritual retreat of the Sacred Family of Burdeos. Then the audience prayed the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy and shared the Ecumenical Communion.

The next day, the program began at 6:30 a.m. with a group attunement and Ecumenical Communion. After breakfast, the group headed to the Qom community of the Mapic neighborhood, where several services were conducted.

Organized into subgroups, they made haircuts and lice-removal, baby baths, recreational activities with children and presentation of songs. Three oral health professionals, members of the Planetary Network-of-Light, conducted prosthetic implants in many Indigenous people. Also parasites were removed from dogs, and visitation to several houses and delivery of donations were done.

The same services were provided on the third day in the Qom community of Margarita Belén. This Sixth Meeting of the Chaco Mission was closed shortly after lunch, which was shared in the respective village. The participants sang several songs with the accompaniment of instruments.

These sequential missions represent the extension of the Chaco Mission, at the request of the Virgin Mary, in the message of December 20, 2015.  This message was received by the Friar Elias del Sagrado Corazón, a visionary monk of the Grace Order Mercy, and the mission was carried out from January 26 to February 8, 2016. Five sequential missions have been carried out so far: in May, July, October and December 2016 and in February 2017.

The Chaco Mission is part of the “Mission for the Original People” Campaign, from the Fraternidade – International Humanitarian Federation.
