On July 31st, at 1 p.m., the 1st Youth Festival for Peace will take place in Florianópolis, state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. In the ecumenical event dedicated to the youths of different origins and ages, there will be an exhibit of works of art, moments of prayer, spiritual reflection and musical presentations. The objective is to bring peace and fraternal co-existence among the beings.
Youth Campaign for Peace
The Festival is part of the Youth Campaign for Peace, which is a movement that seeks to awaken in the youths the motivation to find the meaning of spiritual life again, sowing Peace for the end of the wars, in behalf of humanity and of the kingdoms of Nature. The Campaign has as principles unity, the spirit of peace, non-violence, non-discrimination and respect for one another, with the objective of promoting ecumenical union among the youths of Brazil and of the whole world.
‘By means of art, of love for the essence of nature, of the path of prayer and of humanitarian service, the actions of this Campaign seek to awaken the inner beauty of each being, creating the conditions for their true mission to be expressed’, said Thaís Cristina, one of the organizers of the Youth Festival.
Groups of Prayer
The young organizers of the Festival have come from two groups of prayer which are part of the Youth Campaign for Peace, and which have kept persistent on the path of prayer and of service: the group of Florianópolis and the group of Palhoça.
The group of prayer in the homes of Florianópolis has existed since August 2013, and gathers every Wednesday in some house to conduct the work of prayer with music. According to Fabiano Lauser, who has been in the group since it began, the meetings have always taken place in the appointed day and throughout these three years the group has been in more than 80 houses and is now in the meeting number 154. ‘It has been a process of very great inner transformation and we are learning to do many things. It is a immense joy to be able to collaborate with the plans of Mary, even when we are in the city and contribute with joy, music, prayer and service’, said Fabiano.
Petition of Mary
The creation of the Festival was the reply of the youths of Florianópolis to a petition made by the Virgin Mary. ‘My Children, the Youth Festival for Peace is not a meeting of distraction for the youths, as so many festivals that take place throughout the world. The Youth Festival for Peace is the seed of a new life that I am planting in the consciousness of those who must carry on the Plans of the Most High; those who must transcend themselves and all the influences and mundane superficialities to express a divine archetype, based on love, unity and fraternity’. The Festival
The theme of the first edition of the Festival will be the union with the essence of nature, when music, prayer and art will be instruments for the inner connection with this source of life, balance and beauty. The schedule will offer activities that contribute for the formation and spiritual maturity of the youths. It will be an opportunity for the awakening of the life of the spirit, in a pure and safe way, without drugs, without alcohol or harmful habits.
According to the organizers, all those who seek to build a new world and who are willing to follow the paths that lead us to pacification are invited to this unique group experience, which will bring new impulses of peace and upliftment to the new generations.
