Students and teachers meet often, with the resulting mutual exchange of constant respect and learning.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The roles of teacher and of educator<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-47.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-89329 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-47-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-47-200x150.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-47-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-47-400x300.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-47.jpg 517w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The differences between a teacher and an educator may be increasingly small nowadays, due to the countless methods that are being employed in the innovating schools. For example, Montessori Didactics, Waldorf School, among other non-conventional teaching methods, have\u00a0 inspired many teachers to adopt more humanitarian methodologies.<\/p>\n<div>A teacher, according to the Dicio Online, is \u201cthe individual that teaches, imparts subjects, contents, (\u2026). The one whose specialization or academic background is to teach\u201d. To educate, according to the same dictionary, is \u201cto offer someone what is necessary for this person to manage to fully develop their personality. To try to attain a high level of moral, spiritual development (\u2026)\u201d. (Our translation from Portuguese)<\/div>\n<div>\nThus, we can understand that a teacher would be the one who teaches at schools, whereas the educator teaches in life, in family. An educator teacher has been the ideal for many seekers of an integral formation of the human being.<\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The report of an educator teacher<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-48-44.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-89320 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-48-44-300x179.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"179\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-48-44-200x119.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-48-44-300x179.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-48-44-400x238.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-48-44-600x357.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-48-44.jpg 652w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>\u201cThe experience of living, although temporarily, in a context that is totally different from the one in which I have always lived\u201d, tells us the teacher Omeris. \u201cWhere everyone is together, whole families, relatives, friends, unknown people, many children, and everyone in need of everything you can imagine\u201d, she vented. \u201cThe project of education came in the right time. It came to bring interaction between parents and children, parents with parents, children with children, among all this community of sheltered people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the mornings, in the afternoons, if it is Monday, Saturday or even Sunday, regardless of the week day, or the time, Omeris and her daughter \u2013 also a teacher \u2013 in the quietude of their \u201ccarpa\u201d (tent, in Spanish) have already gotten used to the frequent calls: \u201cTeacher, is it time for class?\u201d, \u201cTeacher, is the class going to begin?\u201d, \u201cTeacher!\u201d. The children, unaccustomed to schedules, or still not introduced to the life of appointments, yearn for the group moments filled with attention, novelty and learning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-37.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-89326 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-37-234x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"234\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-37-200x256.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-37-234x300.jpg 234w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-37.jpg 303w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 234px) 100vw, 234px\" \/><\/a>\u201cParents, families begin to feel more secure again, for now there is a temporal reference, a frequent event with hours and chores, as if they were the margins of a river that guides and gives security to the waters\u201d, states the teacher, enthusiastic and full of hope.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cEvery day we feel the importance of being inserted in this big community that the Shelter Nova Cana\u00e3 has become\u201d, says Omeris. \u201cEvery now and then, comes a mother telling me how her child is learning and already teaching: \u2018Mother, have you washed your hands?\u2019;\u00a0 \u2018Father, the teacher said we always need to brush our teeth after eating\u2019. And all this is gratifying and encouraging.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-15.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-89324 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-15-300x185.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"185\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-15-200x123.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-15-300x185.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-15-400x247.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-15-600x370.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-49-15.jpg 629w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>\u201cIn this condition in which we live, I am having a great learning, perhaps the greatest learning in my whole life so far: to be a teacher is not just to teach what the school has as content in its syllabus, but rather it is a mission, it is at least to be really present in the life of the student as if they were our own child\u201d, she reflects, touched.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The teacher Omeris, who timidly got involved with the community collaborating without expectations, and soon saw herself in the organization of the educational service, is an example of spontaneous leadership that emerges when the group is ready.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Shelter Nova Cana\u00e3<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-48-26.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-89314 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-48-26-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-48-26-200x150.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-48-26-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-48-26-400x300.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/photo_2018-08-24_21-48-26.jpg 517w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The Shelter Nova Cana\u00e3 is serving as a place of temporary lodging for Venezuelan families with children. All of them coming from extreme difficulties in their country, they seek physical and emotional support to get settled and give a sequence to their lives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Educational Project recently offered by Fraternidade \u2013 International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF) and institutional partners is in a stage of adaptation, for the teaching staff has continuously been in reformulation, due to the conditions of volunteering and internalization of the Venezuelans.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><em>Shelter Nova Cana\u00e3<br \/>\n<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>houses Venezuelan families with children<br \/>\n<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>Classes for children and adults in various hours<br \/>\n<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>Qualification course for teachers in the shelter<\/em><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Close daily co-existence in the shelters makes the activity of teaching and of educating naturally blend in the individuals with [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":40,"featured_media":89336,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[150],"tags":[3376],"class_list":["post-90169","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","tag-missao-roraima-humanitaria-en"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v21.0 (Yoast SEO v21.0) -
