The House Light on the Hill<\/a> and the House of Saint Joseph<\/a>, both of the Fraternity \u2013 International Humanitarian Federation,<\/strong> promoted last Friday, November 20, the vaccination of dogs with the multiple vaccine V8.the 120 doses were donated by the Instituto Nina Rosa<\/a>, which in its turn had received the material as donation from the ONG Ampara Animal<\/a><\/p>\n

the vaccine V8 fights different types of dog illnesses: Hepatitis, two kinds of Leptospirosis, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, Coronavirosis, and the two main illnesses that occur in the region of Carmo da Cachoeira: Cinomosis and Parvovirosis. \u201cThis vaccination complements the vaccines to which people have free access, it functions in illnesses that may lead to the animals\u2019 death and are extremely contagious\u201d, explains Tatiana Figueiredo. Tatiana is a volunteer at Community-of-Light of Figueira<\/a>\u00a0and a member of the Ranch of the Star, an entity that takes care of 80 animals in the region of Soledade de Minas, Minas Gerais, Brazil.<\/p>\n

Deonise Nascimento, a resident of Carmo da Cachoeira, has had two dogs killed by Cinomosis (the last one died 6 months ago). \u201cThe dog would not eat, or would vomit right after it ate. I took it to a shop where they gave it a medicine, but it was no good. It was interned, and later died\u201d. This time Deonise brought her two dogs to take the vaccine. \u201cWhenever there is a vaccine I bring them\u201d, concludes Deonise.<\/p>\n

The vaccination occurred in the morning of November 20 in the House of Saint Joseph and in the afternoon in the district of Bom Retiro. Dogs of any age received the vaccine, which has the duration of one year for an adult animal. For the puppies who have never been vaccinated, three doses are needed, with intervals of 21 to 30 days. An amount of 75 vaccines was applied.<\/p>\n

To the Missionary of Peace Clara, of the Fraternity \u2013 International Humanitarian Federation, the vaccination was a great service rendered to the animal kingdom: \u201cthe tutors could not afford the vaccine, and by receiving this attention, they end up taking better care of the animals\u201d.<\/p>\n
