The Nucleus-of-Light<\/a> of Figueira in Sao Paulo, Sacred House of Mary, Mother of Sao Paulo, has established a partnership with the Pastoral of Children and monthly conducts a task for the children in the region of Carapicu\u00edba, Sao Paulo, Brazil.<\/p>\n

The Groups of Health and Healing and of Service, together with the Network-of-Light<\/a> groups of Sao Paulo and nuns of the Monastery of the Grace Mercy Order<\/a> supported the Pastoral of Children in a social action of child nutritional follow-up. This action prevents malnutrition and obesity in childhood. Through this follow-up, it is possible to determine, with greater precision, the nutritional diagnosis of the children, through the Body\/Mass Index (BMI), which relates weight, height and age. From this diagnosis, the volunteers can intensify the guidelines to parents or responsible persons concerning a healthy feeding, the incentive to the practice of physical activity and the referral to some basic health unit, if necessary.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Depending on the date, commemorative feasts are held, such as Father\u2019s Day, Mother\u2019s Day, Children\u2019s Day, as a way to attract the presence of the families.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThese meetings are transformed in moments of loving fraternization among all groups and the assisted families\u201d, tells Claudia Rimini. The service for the children turns out to be a blessing for all participants.<\/span><\/p>\n
