Missionary of the Fraternidade preparing breakfast<\/p><\/div>\n

The main activity conducted by the missionaries of the <\/span>Fraternidade \u2013 International Humanitarian Federation<\/b> – \u00a0during the week was of help to the Missionaries of Charity of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, in the city of Athens.<\/span><\/p>\n

The group gave support to both houses of the Missionaries of Charity: the House 1, with the preparation and the offering of breakfast and lunch for people in need, and the House 2, with activities of maintenance and little repairs.<\/span><\/p>\n

The team of the Fraternidade accompanied the Missionaries of Charity in a home visit paid to a Family of a mother with four children and also helped the task of shopping.<\/span><\/p>\n

Zoological Garden<\/b><\/h3>\n

Visit to the Zoological Garden<\/p><\/div>\n

At the request of the Missionaries of Charity, the missionaries of the Fraternidade accompanied the Sisters of Charity in a visit to the zoo Attica Park, where there are dolphins, birds and several wild animals in captivity.\u00a0<\/span>\u201cIt was an unusual experience, from which we benefitted by making a work with the Kingdoms of Nature. We internally perceived that it was like a visit to a camp of detention that we had done accompanied by the Sisters, with the only difference that in this case the attention was for the animals that were in that situation\u201d, said Shen, a missionary of the Fraternidade.<\/span><\/p>\n

Celebration in the Orthodox Church of St. Theodore<\/p><\/div>\n

On Monday and Tuesday, the 14<\/span>th<\/span> and the 15<\/span>th<\/span>, the Orthodox Church celebrated the second greater religious holiday in Greece, the celebration of Our Lady\u2019s Assumption to Heavens (Assumption means to be taken)<\/span><\/p>\n

The missionaries of the Fraternidade were invited by the Orthodox Church of Saint Theodore, located in the city of An\u00e1vissos, to participate in the celebrations. The group joined the prayers and collaborated in the organization of the event that took place in the Church.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Collection of bread<\/b>
\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n

During all weekdays, the first activity conducted by the group continued to be the collection of bread at a bakery in the city of Glyf\u00e1da followed by the offering of the food for the breakfast in the house of the Sisters of Charity or for distribution in the village of Saronikos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Arrival of a new missionary<\/b><\/h3>\n

On Friday, 18, a new missionary of the Fraternidade arrived, who will collaborate until the end of September in the activities of the Mission.<\/span><\/p>\n
