The Missionary Practice of the Fraternidade \u2013 International Humanitarian Federation<\/strong>, of the month of April 2017 is being held. This time 14 volunteers participate, coming from several cities of Brazil and of Bolivia.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The experience of selfless service began on Sunday, 23 of April, and will extend up to the 30th of April. In the opening meeting, the missionary Clara explained that the Missionary Practices, held monthly, have the objective of creating opportunities for people to know and live the missionary life in group, at least for one week. The missionary invited all to repeat the experience whenever possible and also to offer to participate in the humanitarian missions.<\/p>\n

On Monday, 24, the activities took place in the town of Carmo da Cachoeira, Minas Gerais, Brazil, where the participants were distributed in three fronts one group did tasks of maintenance, such as painting and gardening, in the House of Mary Rose of Peace; another group helped the preparation of lunch for the communitarian refectory of the House of Light on the Hill<\/a> (in House 3), and a third group collaborated in the House of Welcome of Saint Joseph, a place of lodging for people who live on the streets or who are in a process of recovery from alcohol or drug dependence. The support to the communitarian refectory and the House of Welcome continued during the whole week.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, in the city of Varginha, a group visited the house of Rusilvania Gallo, an elderly woman who for more than 30 years has dedicated herself to restore used toys received as donation to distribute them among the poor children of the city. The volunteers dedicated the morning to help Rusilvania in the task of selecting, cleaning and restoring the toys, as well as its storing, according to gender and age of the children.<\/p>\n

For Wednesday tasks of support in the House of Eternal Mercy (Casa Eterna Miseric\u00f3rdia) are expected, a place of recovery of addicts located in the city of Lavras, Minas Gerais; on Thursday, there will be a service dedicated to the Animal Kingdom in the Park of the Kingdoms<\/a> of the House of Light on the Hill; on Friday, a group will pay home visits to poor places in the neighborhood of Palmital, in Carmo da Cachoeira, while another group will help in the preparation of the facilities of the Hut of Saint Joseph, also in Carmo da Cachoeira, for the fair of donations that will take place the following day. On Saturday, 29, the Missionary Practice will go to the Kennel of Francis of Assisi Park<\/a>, in Lavras. The closing of the event is scheduled for Sunday, 30, at 8 a.m., in the House of Saint Joseph, masculine headquarters of the missionaries of the Fraternidade.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
