Foot-wash<\/p><\/div>\n

The House of Light on the Hill<\/a>, affiliated to the Fraternidade \u2013 International Humanitarian Federation<\/strong>, has organized a group service of assistance in the Therapeutic Community Renascer, a property that houses alcoholics under treatment in the small town of Jesuania, 106 kilometers from Carmo da Cachoeira (Headquarters of the House of Light on the Hill), in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil.<\/p>\n

The service was rendered on Thursday, the 10th<\/sup> of November, as a request of the Network-of-Light<\/a> group of Lambari (10 kilometers from Jesuania), which regularly helps the house of addicts. The 19 internees and the couple in charge of the place were assisted.<\/p>\n

This time, the team of the House of Light on the Hill is composed by 4 therapists, 2 dentists and 3 assistants. Acupuncture treatments were done (branch of the Chinese Medicine that treats pains and about 300 illnesses through the application of very thinneedles on specific points of the body), auriculotherapy (acupuncture with needles and other elements applied in the ear), moxibustion (application of heat in different parts of the body), suction cups, therapeutic massage and spiral taping.<\/p>\n

Clinic form<\/p><\/div>\n

The activity began at 9 a.m. with a brief talk about how natural food and juices help the healing of alcoholism. Then the patients received a session of foot-wash in the chapel of the community, with the objective of conducting a deep cleansing of the being. Afterwards, one of the assistants began to interview the internees to fill up a clinic form and send them to the dental van or to the refectory, where a therapy room was organized. At about 10:30 a.m. a green juice was served, prepared with leaves from the vegetable garden, to support the process of detoxification. The treatments continued until 1:30 p.m. Those assisted received relief of different pains and help in problems such as schizophrenia and memory loss, among others.<\/p>\n

Therapeutic massage<\/p><\/div>\n

The Community Renascer has been working for six years in a rural property of 24 hectares in Jesuania, an old and small town of 5 k inhabitants. It is administered by the Evangelical Pastor Marcio Canelhas and his wife Evanir Canelhas.<\/p>\n

Vision of Trigueirinho<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In conferences dictated between 2003 and 2012 in the Community-of-Light of Figueira<\/a>, its founder, the spiritualistic philosopher Jos\u00e9 Trigueirinho<\/a> touched on the theme of alcoholism, highlighting that it is a vice of which it is only possible to get rid of through one\u2019s own decision, with the help of Divine Grace and of the inner forces that all the human beings possess. He said that the vices are a way of escaping reality. Every vice always brings suffering, sooner or later, and the individual learns and advances in the evolutionary scale through the pain.<\/p>\n

Dental care<\/p><\/div>\n

According to Trigueirinho, the vices prevent the union of the soul with the spirit, therefore, when we notice that we are creating a habit, we must dissolve it immediately, before it becomes a vice and it is more difficult to transcend it. For this, he recommended to keep thought in uplifted things, whether through the practice of prayer or by means of spiritual readings and auditions. He also suggested following the advice included in the book \u201cCuras pela Qu\u00edmica Oculta\u201d (\u201cHealing through Occult Chemistry\u201d), by Dr. Jos\u00e9 Maria Campos (Clemente), now Friar Amein\u00f4, a monk of the Grace Mercy Order<\/a>, published by Editora Pensamento, S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/p>\n
