The 4th<\/sup> Meeting of the Permanent Missions in the Qom Communities of the region of Chaco, Argentina, took place between October 8 and 10, in the city of Resistencia. The permanent missions are conducted by the Network-of-Light<\/a> group of Northern Argentina in support to the local group of Chaco, for the Indigenous Communities in the region.<\/p>\n

\"chaco_misao_permanente_4encontro_grupo\"<\/a>Thirty-four people participated in the event, including members of the Community-of-Light<\/a> and the Monastery of the Brotherhood, and volunteers of the Network-of-Light that come from the Argentinian provinces of Corrientes, Formosa, Missiones, Tucum\u00e1n, Salta, Cordoba, Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n

On the first day of the meeting, the group gathered in the House of Retreat Jesus of Nazareth, where an opening attunement was conducted, followed by the organization and the distribution of the tasks.<\/p>\n

\"chaco_misao_permanente_4encontro_bebe\"<\/a>On the following day, the activities concentrated themselves in the Community of Mapic, and on the third and last day, in the Community of Margarita Bel\u00e9n. In both communities, many playful activities were conducted with the children, such as games and painting, always accompanied by music.<\/p>\n

Children and adolescentes also had their hair cut, washed and their lice removed. The babies of the communities received therapeutic baths together with their mothers and lived a climate of a lot of love and care.<\/p>\n

One group paid home visits in the community to invite in person the Qom to participate in the activities. Another group, destined to serve the Animal Kingdom, could worm 132 dogs.<\/p>\n

The lunches in the communities were shared with a lot of joy and with many songs in the language of the Qom People.<\/p>\n

The last meeting of the Permanent Missions in the Argentinian Chaco took place three months ago. \u201cWe perceived that the bonds with our brothers and sisters are becoming tighter as the months pass. We also see that since the visits of the Network-of-Light began, the communities became more united\u201d, said Patricia, the coordinator of the Chaco Mission.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
