On the 22 of July of 2016, the Network-of-Light Group of Guaruj\u00e1, a city on the shore of S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil, fetched in the Harbor of Santos the first donation of food of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply to the Fraternidade. Most of the 271 kg of food raised were distributed in the community Morrinhos Quatro.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

The initiative of enrolling the Fraternidade \u2013 International Humanitarian Federation<\/strong>, in the program of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply of Brazil arose from the Network-of-Light<\/a> of Guaruj\u00e1 in the month of May of this year. The program refers to charitable organizations food of excellent quality called \u201cOutcome of Samples\u201d. The food is fetched in the Harbor of Santos, considered the main Brazilian Harbor.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese outcomes of samples\u201d are goods that come from abroad through the Harbor of Santos and that the Ministry of Agriculture separates to make analysis and certification\u201d, explains Rosineide Freitas, one of the coordinators of the Network-of-Light Group of Guaruj\u00e1.<\/p>\n

In the first donation to the Fraternidade, which took place in July of this year, 271 kg of food were received: 130 of garlic, 68 of apples, 21 of peaches, 21 of nectarines, 21 of prum and 10 of pears. The distribution of food occurred gradually along several weeks according to the ripening of some fruits. The greatest part was distributed in the community of Morrinhos Quatro, a place where the group has been conducting a weekly distribution for two years, with donations of a merchant of the region.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to thank God and all the people who are bringing the food, the fruits every Wednesday to help us, because very often the child asks and we don\u2019t have it\u201d, said Mylene, a resident of the community.<\/p>\n

Another small part of the food, two boxes of garlic, were donated to the Network-of-Light of Santo Andr\u00e9.<\/p>\n

To Francisca Santana, one of the coordinators of the Network-of-Light of Guaruj\u00e1, the work meant the starting point of a new cycle to the group. \u201cSince the beginning, we have worked this humanitarian aspect and today we receive something of higher quality for our brothers and sisters. Because of this we are very happy, confirming that we must give the best to each one of them\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs members of the Network-of-Light, we are very grateful for being able to fulfil this new stage of the work and to serve in a much better way our brothers and sisters that need so much. Here we leave our invitation to all the groups of the Planetary Network-of-Light and other groups that serve anonymously to be always deepening their actions in the Service\u201d, said Rosineide.<\/p>\n
