Between July 7 and 9, the House of Light on the Hill<\/a> conducted the second Experience of Biodynamic Agriculture for kids and youths. 25 youths from the towns of S\u00e3o Bento Abade and Carmo da Cachoeira participated in the event.<\/p>\n

\"agricultura_biodinamica_clc1_julho_2016\"<\/a>The activity is part of a joint Project of the House of Light on the Hill and the Espa\u00e7o Recanto da Folha, of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. The event is called \u2018Sowing and planting love with kids and youths on Earth\u2019.<\/p>\n

The work conducted in this second meeting focused on soil revitalization. One activity was the building of a space to produce biofertilizers. For this, the youths filled big holes in the soil with straw, dry leaves and tree trunks. With the action of the rain and the sun, this material will become a fermented compost that will help fertilize the soil. Around these holes, banana trees were planted, also to help fertilize the place.<\/p>\n

\"agricultura_biodinamica_clc3_julho_2016\"<\/a>In another moment, the activity was with seeds. In small balls made of earth with clay, several kinds of seeds were put, such as corn and beans. These balls were then distributed in different places to germinate. All the youths could also participate in the dynamization of the water that will be used with the objective of helping the soil.<\/p>\n

The experiences in Biodynamic Agriculture are focused by Aly Baptista, environmental technician, eco-educator and permaculture advisor from the city of Porto Alegre. The specialty of Permaculture involves the use of holistic methods to plan, update and keep systems of human scale \u2013 gardens, villages and communities – environmentally sustainable, socially just and financially feasible.<\/p>\n

\"agricultura_biodinamica_clc4_julho_2016\"<\/a>\u2018The knowledge of biodynamic agriculture work as energetic impulses for the plants, seeds and seedlings, and are elaborated in a very homeopathic way where we work with the elements and Kingdoms of Nature<\/a>. This building takes place with a group of people in unity, children, youths and adults working with the same intention and focus, which is the planting of healthy food\u2019, said Aly.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the youths also did recreational activities with painting and drawing and participated in the communitarian meals. The next experience of biodynamic agriculture in the House of Light on the Hill will be on the second half of August.<\/p>\n

\"agricultura_biodinamica_clc6_julho_2016\"<\/a>\u2018The Human Kingdom participates as co-creator in the whole of this process. All the people involved are also being influenced by this force, by this ancestral information. To the extent that we act in the biodynamic agriculture, we work on ourselves, we heal ourselves, and with this we also become co-responsible for the growth of the production of food and for this creation of forests\u2019, completed Aly.<\/p>\n
