The Tibetan Park School<\/a> of the Community-of-Light of Figueira<\/a> has received as donation a wide amount of educational\u00a0books and materials updated for all disciplines of the official curriculum. \u201cThese books typically stimulate in the children an\u00a0experience of values, such as the love and respect for their neighbors and for the animal, plant and mineral kingdoms\u201d, explained the principal of the recipient\u00a0institution, the Sister Martzth\u00e1, a nun of the Grace Mercy Order<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Site<\/a>This project\u00a0is a collaboration of the Escola Fazer Crescer (Making to Grow School), of Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil, and a part of the interchange that the Tibetan Park School maintains with various educational institutions. It includes texts and didactic materials for the teacher and the student, from the 1st thru the 9th grades, in accord with the Brazillian Fundamental Teaching system.
\nThe Principal explained\u00a0that the bibliography used in the educational center includes, in addition to\u00a0the official didactic texts, books of spiritual content centered on the integral formation of the being, by authors such as Trigueirinho<\/a>, Rudolph Steiner, Alice Bailey, the Tibetan, Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.<\/p>\n

She said the books received will make it possible to update the goal for living education that the school offers to its students. \u201cThe concept of living education promotes the contact of the student with their inner being, with the kingdoms of nature and with the cosmos, through the arts. The material is experienced in the practice, in the here and now, through love, beauty and fraternity\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"Site<\/a>The students, all of them members of the Community-of-Light of Figueira, are encouraged to experience values that are cultivated throughout\u00a0the year, such as the development of initiative, of leadership, and the learning of how to put oneself in another\u2019s shoes. \u201cThe individual characteristics of each one are brought into the group, where they are balanced, allowing each one to offer their best for the benefit of all, as a whole\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"Site<\/a>As a part of the process of formation, they help in activities of the Community-of-Light, such as the care for the animal kingdom; the making\u00a0of bread, soy milk and cheese; and tasks in the SIR sector (Sound, Image and Recording). They participate in various workshops, such as music, swimming, watercolor painting, carpentry, electricity, fabrics and crochet, astronomy and soon, in the laboratory (under development). In the so-called \u201cgolden classes\u201d, the children are encouraged to unite to their souls, by means of specially selected stories.<\/p>\n

The institution has existed\u00a0for five years and for two years has worked in collaboration with other two sister-institutions, under the name of Tibetan Park: the school of the House of Light on the Hill<\/a>, in the town of Carmo da Cachoeira, Minas Gerais, and the school of the Community of the Nova Terra<\/a>, in Teres\u00f3polis, Rio de Janeiro. It has received official recognition and authorization from the Secretary of Education of the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
