On this 8th<\/sup>\u00a0of March, the International Women\u2019s Day, the\u00a0<\/span>Fraternity \u2013 International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF)<\/span><\/a>\u00a0congratulates all women for their constant resilience, for their courage to express a more just, equal and inclusive world.<\/span><\/p>\n

To celebrate this date, we present the video\u00a0<\/span>\u201cLife Values: Indigenous Women\u201d<\/span><\/a>, which shows some interviews with indigenous women, immigrants and refugees, cared for in the four shelters under the management of the\u00a0<\/span>Humanitarian Fraternity (FIHF)<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in Roraima.<\/span><\/p>\n

They are women of different generations and ethnicities: Warao, E\u2019\u00f1epa, Kari\u00f1a, and what they have in common is the pride of those who carry with them the ancestry of their people, their customs, their cultures, their roots.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTo be indigenous, to be a Warao is what I am most proud of\u201d, says the native Alejandrina, and she emphasizes the importance \u201cof demonstrating, to our brothers and sisters who are ashamed of being Warao,\u201d the strength that their culture has: \u201cwe have to show (\u2026) our customs, what we live; we have to pass it on from generation to generation (\u2026).\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
