Viviane Naves, volunteer missionary of the Fraternidade Humanitari<\/strong>a, shares her experience as a computer science teacher in the Roraima mission<\/a>. She created the project \u201cComputer Science without Borders\u201d with artistic and educational activities, and together with the Education sector, she had the chance to do a pilot experimental project with indigenous children of the Pintol\u00e2ndia and Janokoida Shelters.<\/p>\n

The registration lines for those interested were daily, and the activity, still being tested before being implemented, revealed a great interest, a quick acceptance, and joy for discovering and developing abilities. The Means of Life room of each shelter welcomed the different groups, formed of adolescents from ages 6 to 15 years.<\/p>\n

\"Inform\u00e1tica<\/a><\/p>\n

Some of the topics covered, such as presenting the computer as a tool, showing its handling, and making drawings and paintings, made it possible to verify the age range by group.<\/p>\n

Viviane will be organizing an online Course together with the Education in Emergency Axis, to train the teachers and monitors of the Fraternidade Humanitaria<\/strong>, so that the \u201cComputer Science without Borders\u201d can be implemented and be continued. That initiative will be an important step in the reorganization of the Education Sector of the Roraima Humanitarian Mission<\/a> for 2021.<\/p>\n

The computers of the Means of Life rooms were donated to Operation Welcome<\/a> by the FIESP<\/a> and by the SENAI-SP<\/a>, and distributed to the shelters of Roraima, for activities that look for lasting solutions for the Venezuelan refugees.<\/p>\n
