A partnership between the\u00a0Fraternidade \u2013 International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF)<\/a>, through the\u00a0<\/strong>Roraima Mission<\/strong><\/a>, and the\u00a0Humanitarian Agency of the Adventist Church (ADRA)<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0had been passing on basic health care tips that can reduce the risk of contracting or transmitting the Coronavirus, in accordance with the standards established by the\u00a0World Health Organization (WHO)<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Education Sector, operating in the Pintol\u00e2ndia shelter in Boa Vista, Roraima, is guiding a group of indigenous leaders and youths to implement preventative measures against the new Coronavirus (COVID-19).<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Ind\u00edgenas<\/a><\/p>\n

According to the missionary and nun of the\u00a0Grace Mercy Order<\/a>,<\/strong> Sister Maria, this work intends to educate the immigrants on the importance of personal hygiene and the disinfecting of personal spaces, where the family groups reside, and the disinfecting of the common areas used by all such as bathrooms, the cafeteria, and living spaces.<\/p>\n

The indigenous youth are using sterilized barrels to carry a chlorine solution that will be sprayed in the community spaces.<\/p>\n

Sister Maria said that the team is organizing to take this initiative to other shelters.<\/p>\n
