On Sunday March 15th<\/sup>, far from technologies, standing by with hats, boots and with hoes in their hands, the Youth for Peace group of S\u00e3o Paulo gathered together for yet another service activity. This time, the activity was carried out in the agricultural area of the\u00a0Light-Nucleus of Figueira in S\u00e3o Paulo<\/strong><\/a>, an area which still preserves an Atlantic Forest biota in the middle of the urban zone.<\/p>\n

It was the group\u2019s responsibility to place innumerable small and medium size branches around the bases of some trees, among them, fruit trees such as acerola, guava and orange, forming a crown of sticks around their base that,\u00a0through its decomposition, will serve as rich organic matter for the soil and their roots. Dry leaves were also placed around the trunks, which will help protect the soil from direct sunlight and the impact of the rains.<\/p>\n

The young woman\u00a0Nat\u00e1lia Myazaki\u00a0describes the significance of the task carried out by the group: \u201cto work in service and in harmony with the Kingdoms is one of the purposes of the activities of the Youth for Peace<\/strong><\/a>, besides seeking the wisdom of Nature, revering it and being able to repay all the service it provides for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the middle of the task, the young people were surprised by the visit of a group of marmosets, and afterwards, a squirrel,\u00a0in the trees. \u00a0We read these signs from nature as a thank you for the offer of service from a small group. And in this aspect of redemption and of service, the group continues with its next activities,\u201d shared the coordinator of the Monastery of the Divine Trinity, Mother Mar\u00eda Gl\u00f3ria.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
