On January 30 and 31, the\u00a0Fraternidade \u2013 International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF)<\/b>, in partnership with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR<\/strong><\/a>), did some training for the humanitarian workers of different agencies, organizations, institutions, and the Brazilian Army that are active in the Humanitarian Mission in the State of Roraima.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Fraternidade International (FIHF)<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0and the representatives of civil affairs of Acolhida (Welcome) Operation explained about the Distribution and Logistics for Humanitarian Emergencies that deal with topics such as planning in humanitarian assistance, distribution and storing of perishable and non-perishable items, management of warehouses, and donations.<\/p>\n

In the follow-up, the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) presented the Sodexo Card Program for the purchase of hygiene products, and lastly, the Fraternidade \u2013 Humanitarian Federation FIHF,<\/strong> together with the UNHCR<\/strong><\/a>, spoke about the subject of \u201cInformation Management\u201d,\u201d finishing the first round with practical exercises.<\/p>\n

On the second day, the UNHCR<\/strong> spoke about the Management and Coordination of Temporary Shelters, and explained about the responsibilities in the Administration, Coordination, and Management of Shelters. Lastly, the Armed Forces brought forth the importance of Security in the shelters, both for the beneficiaries as well and the humanitarian teams.<\/p>\n

According to the field assistant of the UNHCR<\/strong><\/a>, Joshue Santos, training such as this \u201cis very important, because it empowers us in specific matters that deal with the protection of the rights of the people involved concerning access to services in the humanitarian response.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\t\t
