{"id":111223,"date":"2020-01-29T23:20:22","date_gmt":"2020-01-30T02:20:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/?p=111223"},"modified":"2020-01-29T23:20:22","modified_gmt":"2020-01-30T02:20:22","slug":"missionaries-create-recipes-of-vegan-biscuits-for-dogs-in-the-carmo-da-cachoeira-mission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/en\/missionaries-create-recipes-of-vegan-biscuits-for-dogs-in-the-carmo-da-cachoeira-mission\/","title":{"rendered":"Missionaries create recipes of Vegan biscuits for dogs in the Carmo da Cachoeira Mission"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"Biscoitos veganos para c\u00e3es - Miss\u00e3o Carmo da Cachoeira\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QVqWQDk-Juk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: center;\"><i>A group of missionaries of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/en\/about-us\/\"><b>Fraternidade \u2013 International Humanitarian Federation<\/b><\/a>\u00a0has been carrying out an activity that contributes to the quality of life for dogs as part of the permanent mission of Carmo da Cachoeira, MG<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Vegan biscuits for dogs, made from legumes, help to fight tartar, contribute to a balanced diet, besides being used in games by the trainers that take care of the animals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">These treats are being made in a place prepared by the\u00a0<b><strong>Light-Community,<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0where the missionaries have organized this into three stages, the first being the preparation of the legume puree, following this is dough made with wheat flour, ending with the biscuits going into the oven to be baked.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/img-biscoitos-caninos02.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-111100 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/img-biscoitos-caninos02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/img-biscoitos-caninos02-200x150.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/img-biscoitos-caninos02-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/img-biscoitos-caninos02-400x300.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/img-biscoitos-caninos02-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/img-biscoitos-caninos02-800x600.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/img-biscoitos-caninos02.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">This activity, which has now been carried out for the last five and a half years, produces from 800 to 1,000 biscuits each month.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The treats are distributed to the dogs that live on the farms of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/en\/affiliates\/light-community-of-figueira\/\"><b><strong>Figueira Light-Community<\/strong><\/b><\/a>, and have also been sent to an affiliate,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.parquefranciscodeassis.com.br\/\"><b><strong>Parque Francisco de Assis<\/strong><\/b><\/a>, a shelter in Lavras, MG, that currently shelters close to 400 rescued dogs.
