Evolutionary path and the spiritual ascension
In more advanced phases of the evolutionary path and of the spiritual ascension, the being has contact with true selfless life, through direct experience. This selfless life is not a simple act of charity, but it rather, little by little, begins to be the very expression of charity, when one forgets completely oneself on behalf of one’s neighbor. It is to permit being supplied by God who sees all and knows all, when the person is ruled by Spiritual Laws so far unknown to them, where the Universe seems to move to meet the real needs that arise, where they become an instrument to supply these needs.
And thus true miracles begin to happen, as the person goes out of themselves and lives Christ in their neighbor. While the doors open for Grace to act, a greater flow of cosmic energy can enter the life of the beings who receive that which already belonged to them, but to which they had no access because they hadn’t opened the doors correctly.
Prayer and teachings
For the consummation of this state, the being takes with them prayer and the most simple and universal teachings of the Word of God, but some of them who begin to awaken from their words and their example fulfill a human tendency to transfer the object of their devotion to that they can see materialized before their eyes. And thus, some begin to see this spiritually more developed being as a holy man, as a man of miracles and there still are those who want to become dependent on him, so that they can use him as a crutch not to fulfill as they are supposed to their own path of ascension.
The path of humility
At this point, the evolved being must resume the lesson they learned when they took the first steps and tread unceasingly the path of humility. Well, without it they could not have reached this point, but human pride does not make any part of the ascensional path easy. It masks and hides itself, makes itself subtle, but does not disappear, being always ready to enter at the least sign of lack of attention.
The one who has attained this stage and does not want to let themselves be bogged down in the net of their own pride fulfills the exercise of transforming each thought, feeling or action they are effecting into selfless action on behalf of their neighbor – an action in which they “decrease” themselves before the other so that the Lord can prevail over them. As a ceremony for the current days, besides prostrating before God, the apostle symbolically prostrates themselves before the creatures, through selfless actions, knowing internally that they are prostrating before God.
These actions would be considered humiliating for the vast majority of people, but for those who have ascended it is their act of penance that never wounds them on any level and always does good to the brother or sister. Nevertheless, the only nucleus that will suffer time and again with these acts of penance will be their ego, which at times will feel so big, that only by means of these symbolic prostrations will it resize and close all the doors to involution, which will always be lurking to make it big.
Watch out with vigilance
This being must watch out with absolute vigilance not to be assailed in the dead of night by their own egoic aspects, because Grace, which otherwise find in them a channel to descend, will be thus prevented from acting.
