Topic 7 – Megaearthquake and Tsunami of Japan/2011 – II
Topic: Planetary Healing, Healing of Humanity
First read the introduction of Part 6 – Japan Megaearthquake and Tsunami/2011 – I
- March/2011. Japan suffers an extremely intense earthquake, which unleashes an immense tsunami. The great island shakes violently, to the point of nearly entering collapse. The earthquake reaches 9 degrees in Richter scale, and it is estimated that it liberated a force 600 million time greater than the devastating bomb of Hiroshima, an energy that is sufficient to supply, for a whole year, a city like Los Angeles, and which was liberated, in a unique movement, in five minutes. It was so potent that it inclined the Earth’s axis in 20 cm, braked its rotation and shortened days in 1,8 μs (microseconds).
- At 142:46 p.m. (local time) of March 11, at 130 km from the eastern coast of Japan, and 32 km into the Earth’s crust, the Tectonic Plate of the Pacific imperceptibly slides under the island. The colossus of massive rock that enters compresses and twists, and the unusual tension that is created in this displacement accumulates in the system, until something breaks suddenly. Strong quakes begin to propagate and the inland sensors register them.
- The earthquake generated on the surface an even more startling force, a tsunami. When the crust fractured, 400 km of the ocean bed lifted more than three meters, displacing more than 100 billions m3 of water, under the form of gigantic waves, which at first propagated at more than 800 km/hour, a speed that is very close to that of a commercial jet. When a tsunami approaches the land, it decelerates very much, but as the sea becomes shallower, the waves grow more and more, having reached 14 m height in this particular event.
- At 3:20 p.m., the great waves began to strike the West coast of Japan. In the North, the sea enters in eruption, advances and invades the land, without contention, impetuously devastating structures and seashore buildings, harbors and villages, swallowing in its powerful and troubled waters tens of hundreds of vehicles, boats of both small and great size, as if they were mere paper toys. Whole seashore towns become sea in few minutes, and tens of thousands of people are caught by surprise; a tree is involved by the waters in seconds; after three minutes they reach 8 m height, and even get to advance more than 10 km inland. A flood of Biblical proportions!
- In just 11 hours the tsunami crossed the whole Pacific Ocean, running almost 8,000 km, at an average speed of 725 km/h, and eventually touched the city of Santa Cruz, California, USA.
Time of suffering, time of liberation
In Fukushima, a nightmare of the world becomes reality
- The great seism and the apocalyptic tsunami that followed seriously hit the Nuclear Center of Fukushima I, at just 145 km from the line of tectonic fracture. Fukushima was considered among the ones that have the best security measures in the world. At 3:42, when the tsunami was approaching, a nuclear engineer, when he realized its dimension, foresaw that something terrible was announcing itself, for the Central is protected by dykes of just 5,7 m of height, insignificant for the tsunami waves expected to have more than 14 m high.
- At the first alarm, its reactors I, II and III turned off automatically, interrupting also the production of electric energy. Normally they can use the energy of the local external network for its refrigeration and for the control room, but the network was equally harmed by the relentless earthquake. The emergency diesel system begins working, but was suddenly stopped by the arrival of the tsunami, which flooded everything.
- Once flooded, the diesel generator became inoperable. In case of any stop, the reactors need to be immediately refrigerated, for its nuclear gears must not overheat. Thus the only measure left is the system of emergency bombs, which work with batteries and have charge of only eight hours. And the clock keeps advancing inexorably!
- Japan had just suffered two fatal blows: first, a violent earthquake; second, an apocalyptic tsunami; and it is now about to suffer a third one, as devastating as the first two together, for the seismic event is about to become a nuclear catastrophe, before a possible nuclear fusion of its atomic nuclei.
- While Fukushima is about to suffer a nuclear disaster, hundreds of thousands of people struggle for life throughout the West coast of Japan, where the tsunami in its highest point reached 38 meters above sea level.
- In Fukushima, the nightmare of Japan and of the world becomes a reality: the batteries extinguish and then a seismic event becomes a nuclear catastrophe: a violent explosion seeps the roof of the building of Reactor I, and two days later, another strong explosion affects the building of Reactor III. Thus, with all the automatic systems deactivated, only one saving decision is left to the authorities: sending human teams to a highly radioactive area, to manually cool down the reactors. Three hundred firefighters begin to work in teams of 50, pumping seawater to the reactors, and risking their lives to try to avoid an even greater planetary catastrophe. Thus expressed the firefighter leading these sacrificing souls: “In order to transcend the fear of radiation, which all of us had, was only the sense of duty”. The great escape of disintegrating and lethal radiation of Fukushima was later classified as level 7, the highest in a scale of nuclear disasters, as the alarming nuclear accident of Chernobyl.
The European Commissioner of Energy, Oettinger, G, addressed the European Parliament on March 15, clarifying that the nuclear disaster was an “apocalypse”. As the nuclear crisis entered its second month, the experts recognized that Fukushima Daichi is not the worst nuclear accident of all, but the most complicated. The nuclear experts stated that Fukushima will be registered in history as the second worst nuclear accident, and although not so harmful as the disaster of Chernobyl, it was worse than the Three Mile Island accident. Months or years would pass to know how deleterious was the liberation of radiation for human health, the food supply and the rural zone around it. (Source: Fukushima, Wikepedia).
- Indescribable scenes, which speak for themselves and touch the depth of our souls, can be contemplated in images and videos that were recorded. In deep respect and reverence for the souls that lived such experiences for humanity, it is only left to us to imitate the great example of the Cosmic Fraternity that guides us: to prostrate ourselves and pray from the heart: “The great guardian sages of the stars prostrated themselves to implore for mercy and forgiveness”.
“Times of suffering, times of liberation…
Can you distinguish growth from pain?
If this is so, you have crossed the threshold that guards the future Earth”
