On this weekend (January 25, 26 and 27), Mother María Shimani de Montserrat*, one of the founders of Fraternidade – International Humanitarian Federation, will be imparting a deepening course called: Spiritual Academy of Instruction.

This time, the meeting will be oriented to the youths who collaborate in the Youth Campaign for Peace and will take place in the Light Community of Figueira. These Academies have been taking place since 2013, and have formed different members affiliated with the Fraternidade. The objective is the deepening in the matters of spiritual quest, in the discovery of the Overself, and in the mysteries of the Universe and of the Creation.

Youths from seven Brazilian states (Pernambuco, Bahía, Federal District, Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, and Santa Catarina) were present, as well as some guests from other nationalities, welcomed and accompanied by consecrated monastics of Grace Mercy Order (GMO). They formed a group of 180 people altogether, to participate in this edition of the event. Eleven countries are represented in these meetings: Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Spain, United States, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

To Friar Thomas (GMO), one of the coordinators of the Youth Campaign for Peace, the event represents a significant deepening of the spiritual bases that the youths seek to develop in the cities of origin.

The topics touched

The topics touched on in the opening of the meeting were: “What is the true awakening?”, “Who are we and what is our origin?”, “What is the Project of God for the Planet Earth?”, “Common life and wakeful life”, “How to practice love all the time?”, “the school of altruistic service”, “How to help the awakening of others?”, “World lack of information: how to move around in these times of chaos and confusion?”, “Study of the sacred texts”, “Relationship between personality, soul, and spirit”, “Evolution through degrees of love”, “The spiritual constitution of the human being”, “The true universal history of the Creation”, and “What is Christ? Who was Jesus?”.
